I had seen a magazine feature in a Sunday mag and said I would like to go but he made a joke out of it saying I couldn't hack it. It ended up with us having row because he laughed about it in front of our friends. To be honest EVERYBODY said I couldn't do it so I just gave up on the idea. It was about a week or so later when David said he booked on to New You Boot Camp for me. This was a bitter sweet moment because on the one hand he was giving it to me but with the other he was lecturing me on the price and how I better stick at it etc etc.

The night before New You Boot Camp I was really nervous and irritated when David said he was going out with the boys! I was heading out into the great unknown and he was going out for a beer. I didn't speak to him and we had yet another arguement. I've always felt David didn't take me seriously and that he didn't fight my corner in certain situations so in some respect I was questionning our relationship.

The next morning he must have been feeling guilty because he dropped me to Wales! We had a few disputes in the car but all was resolved by the time we arrived.

After David left I was on my own with a group of Ladies also waiting for the Bus. I was nervous but excited at the same time.  Thinking of David spurred me on to achieve. I threw myself into the ‘New You’ experience and ended up loving it! I lost 10lbs and 9.5 inches. Gained 3 friends which I still keep in contact with and the whole time I was travelling home couldn't wait to see Davids face when he picked me up.

The first thing I did when I saw him was show him my flat as a pancake stomach!!! The funny thing was that he said- I knew you could do it! I was so impressed with myself that I didn't even remember all the negative comments before hand.

Before New You Boot Camp people thought I couldn't stick at something and get my hands dirty and to be honest neither did I. It gave me a new found confidence and showed David I'm a tough cookie afterall. I went in the April and we married in the August. The only downside is that now he wants to do an Amazon trek! He said if I could hack the freezing Brecon Beacons I can more than cope in the Amazon!
