New You Boot Camp Testimonials
New You Boot Camp is an extremely successful programme, voted No 1 in Europe and No 3 in the World. We believe the best way for new clients to see this is by listening to our existing clients. We are extremely proud of all the success stories and we hope that we will have the opportunity to help you on to the road to the “New You”.
I stood on the scales to discover I had left 13lbs on the slopes of the Brecon Beacons weighing in at 14 stone 2lbs. It felt fantastic. I felt fantastic. I had also lost 4 inches from various anatomical hot spots!1.9 inches of my bulbous chest. A mere 1.4 inches from my impressive belly region - work still to be done - and a 1/3 on an inch from my buttocks that were now mere skin and bone. Strangely my thighs had ballooned by 3/4 of an inch. The average weight loss was 9.7lbs and the average inch loss 4.5 inches. Swedish chef and photographer Chris, who typified the never give-up attitude of nearly all our ungainly platoon had lost a staggering 18lbs in the week which put him well on the road to achieving his goal of going from 24 stone to 16 stone.
A week seeing how far you could push your body and mind. A week spent re-educating your taste buds and making friends. The short sharp shock treatment may not work for everyone but it is one I needed. The potential life long benefits you get from a camp such as this, I believe is well worth the investment.
Mark Durden-Smith – Male Back to Basics 17th – 24th April 2009 – Lost 13lbs
"Two months on and the lessons I learned at the Boot camp in October are still paying dividends. By eating dead stuff and green stuff, reducing my carb intake and exercising a bit of self-discipline my weight has settled between 11stone 10lb and 11stone 12lbs.
A couple of friends have asked me was it worth going on the Boot camp and couldn't I have achieved the same results if I just ate less and exercised more? My answer to this is "that's easy to say and hard to do".
I've tried to get fit and lose weight for years without much success. At the Boot camp I felt part of a "team" and that motivated me to work hard and eat properly. Despite being one of the oldest ones there I soon realised that I could compete with most of the guys in the group and this increased my self confidence.
The overall result was I lost 7lbs, changed my body shape and increased my stamina and self confidence.
Do I think the Bootcamp was worth it - YES!"
Stuart Armstrong - Male Back to Basics October 16th -23rd 2009 – Lost 7lbs
I decided I weighed far too much and was very unfit. My goal is to loose weight to get to a normal weight and also to improve my diet. New You Boot Camp far exceeded my expectations and managed to cover nutrition and how to do a wide range of exercises. I have learnt a lot! I am now very keen to keep this up and take on board what I have learnt. I am amazed that New You Boot Camp was so good and it was such a great environment to learn and have a great time.
Graham Parkinson, Mixed Portugal Boot Camp, November 26th-December 3rd. Lost 9lbs and 13.5 inches!
It was hell I wanted to go home to my mummy but this big army bloke with boulders for shoulders said "man up and just get on with it" so who was I argue.
Looking back I had a great week all the staff were super the other guys on the week were great and a really good team spirit developed. I was pushed way beyond what I thought my limit was, did an unbelievable amount of exercise and lost 12 lbs to boot! It was very tough but it was worth it, very satisfying and addictive. I miss it and will definitely be getting the odd fix at the Day Boot Camps in Richmond Park.
Rory Caffyn-Parsons, Aged 55. Male Boot Camp Oct 16th-23rd. Lost 12lbs and 4.7 inches!
I came to the boot camp quite a lethargic person who struggled to do activity and exercise. I have thoroughly pushed myself and have found the motivation to succeed. I have really enjoyed boot camp and will definitely refer it to my friends and family.
Luke Clarke, Lost 7ibs on Male Boot Camp Oct 16th-23rd
I thought that both Staff Gough and Staff Ford got the balance exactly right between discipline and humour. They quickly recognised who responded best to praise and encouragement, and those who raised their game when given "a boot up the backside". For me this made the week far more enjoyable (if that's the word!) than having someone bellowing at me all week - which was what I expected.
I don't know what the New You Boot Camp policy is when a client picks up an injury, but I think the PTI's recognised that I was struggling after hurting my achilles on the Monday and exercised excellent judgement by letting me sit out the hill sprinting session to rest my injury. Without that rest I know I wouldn't have been able to complete the week and achieve the weight loss I did (7lb).
Their man management skills and tough, but good humoured approach, meant they got the best out of everyone.
I wish all those connected with New You Boot Camp well for the future.
Regards
Stuart Armstrong
PS. I've lost another 3lbs since getting back and now weigh 12 stone exactly. The last time I was that weight was 1993 !
Male Boot Camp 16th Oct - 23rd Oct 2009 – 7lb loss
My sister attended a New You Boot Camp, lost weight and felt great. When the Male Boot Camps were launched I wanted to lose weight, get off blood pressure pills and get my mojo back.
Job done – thank you New You Boot Camp!
Michael Warren – Male Boot Camp – June 12-19 2009
Michael lost a total of 7lbs and 7 inches
The whole experience was unbelievable and it has to be attributed to all the staff, particularly the PTI’s.
They have been unbelievably motivational, inspirational, detailed, knowledgeable, attentive… the list is too big!!!
The 3 guys are ultimate professionals, a credit to their industry and everything always delivered with a smile and sense of humour.
Awesome!
Steve Woodford – Male Boot Camp – June 12-19 2009
Steve achieved our highest Male weight loss yet at 19lbs and 7 inches! – Well done!
This was by far the hardest physical activity I have ever done. My biggest fear was running, I couldn’t run more than 6 minutes before! Now I can run continuously for over half an hour at a good pace! I feel I have grown stronger all over, brought my leg strength in line with my upper body, for that I am indebted. I am absolutely confident I have a clear direction to hit the gym hard when I get back home and look forward to my big success.
I though the staff made the week! They were an inspiration to me, positive, knowledgeable, friendly, supportive, everything I didn’t think they were going to be! I am seriously impressed and would recommend this to anyone that’s seriously interested in making a change and taking their fitness to the next level.
Alan Smalley – Male Boot Camp – June 12-19 2009
Alan lost a total of 5lbs and 9 inches
Thought you’d like to know that I’m working harder than ever with my exercise regime, I’ve taken into account everything I was taught by our friendly neighbourhood PTi’s and in particular James nutritional elements, I even “pump the protein” from my protein.co.uk (truly excellent). Even with all the weights I’ve been pumping as of this morning, I’m officially 2 pounds lighter than my finish at boot camp. Two of the girls at work have been pretty impressed and have asked me to help them initiate a lifestyle change... can’t be bad!
Thought you’d perhaps like this update, I feel fit enough to order a T shirt now! Could you again pass on my thanks to everyone involved as it was really an eye opener at 44 years of age, and although I was at the back end of group 1, so by no means the fittest feel that I am running at approx 30% better than pre New You Boot Camp. The energy levels are fantastic, I bubble from 6 or 7am until midnight every day practically... on a permanent high i can tell you!
Thanks New You Boot Camp
Marc Whelan – Male Boot Camp April 17-24 2009
I was a regular sportsman over the years since childhood but I have been setting up a new business for the past two years so fitness slipped and diet got very rich. Approaching 40 and thought it was time to get back to fitness levels of my 20s – New You Boot Camp is the kick start – planning on coming back in October to keep it going.
Diarmaid Crumish Age 39 – April MALE Back to Basics Boot Camp
Having been fit throughout my 20s as I went through my 30’s I Still played rugby but didn’t train and the weight crept on throughout the decade. I went from 14stone putting on ½ stone every 2 years peaking at 18stone. I settled back at 16 ½ stone for a while before decoding I must do something about it. A friend and I started doing 1 annual triathlon in the Summer in Swanage and while finishing I have been slow every year, in part due to the fact I am 3 stone heavier than the average. After 3 years of training I am down to 15 ½ stone and wanted to kick start a serious attempt to get the weight off and be competitive – Thanks NYBC.
David Prentice Age 42 – April MALE Back to Basics Boot Camp
I wanted to prove to myself I could do the week. That was my personal challenge. I was not here for fitness, at 47 I am happy with my body and life. Self confidence, self belief and to become more positive were my only aims and they have been achieved through the off-site activities and adventure training.
Nigel Dickman – Age 47 - April MALE Back to Basics Boot Camp
I have been trying to lose weight and have been exercising for 9 months (3 times a week) however my version of healthy eating needed examining as I just wasn’t losing weight. My fitness level improved to over 10km runs and bigger weights but I still want improving in the areas I needed to focus on. New You Boot Camp has completely changed my perception of diet, nutrition, exercise, lifestyle and mental attitude. Thanks New You Boot Camp.
Marc Whelan - Age 44 - April MALE Back to Basics Boot Camp
I just wanted to regain my fitness after a year of binge drinking. Also looking at it as a warm up to join the army which I have pretty much made my mind up to do. Was a great week. Thanks, New You Boot Camp.
Kieron Bligh – Age 22 – April Male Back to Basics Boot Camp
I thought Iknew what foods were good and bad for me, turns out it was just the tip of the ice berg! For the first time I feel really confident in my diet and I feel confident that I can make it work at home too.I found myself getting really bored trying to force down the same old grilled chicken portion twice a day! But I was taught about so many areas, I now have confidence to swap foods about to break the monotony. My new motto is, “when in doubt, add pepper and Tabasco!” I also left with the ability to enjoy team sports. Before I shied away and sat on the side lines, but now I really fell the team ethos and it really does boost your motivation. A massive thanks to all the staff.
Ravi Patel – Bournemouth
The structure that you are given at boot camp is something that I will be implementing into my everyday life.Although having such a strict set workout time and regimen, I can track my fitness progress and hit those weight loss goals for my new fiancé. Thank you Boot Camp you have given me the motivation I needed to go on.
Ben Hazell – London
Can I firstly take this opportunity to say thank you. The week was so well planned, I didnt had a chance to stop! I’ve been on other fitness camps but they treat women and men’s fitness / nutrition exactly the same. Thank you for focusing on us as men for a change! You got it so right!
Not only do you get a week focusing on your health, but also something money cannot buy... and that was the time I got to focus on myself. The daily routine was so clear that it helped clear out all the other nonsense. The week at New You Boot Camp was just the ticket I needed to make some life decisions. If anyone is having second thoughts about this camp... don't... these guys are awesome... and worth every penny! But I will say, you get out of it what you put in... and they don’t let you give anything less that 110%!
Tom Gallagher - London
I didn’t realise until I came to New You Boot Camp that as well as other things. Food is an addiction. And over the last year I now realised I just replaced one addiction with another, food.
I know it’s all about self motivation, but I‘ve learnt how to resist those all important triggers. The Staff have taught me to set up small goals. Trying to drop big numbers can seem impossible at first and to change it up. If you find things are slowing down, keep the body guessing to nudge you back into weight-loss mode. Thanks guys I’m looking forward to a fresh start, which is all down to you!
Aaron Thomas - Winchester
When I turned up at New You Boot Camp I was worried that I would be the un-fittest guy there, I barely did any exercise and I was four stone over weight.I’m not going to lie, when I turned up and there were other men in the group that already envious physiques, I almost turned around and went home. But I soon learnt that its all in the head... your own self image...and the guys looked after me so well, I couldn’t have asked for anything more from them.
I was overweight and unfit just as others were on the course but no matter what shape, size or fitness level, we all came together as a team. I will never forget that week and have made friends for life, who still buddying me now, to help me achieve my goals.
Thanks to all at New You Boot Camp... what an amazing week, see you next year!
Stewart Coley – Leeds
I no longer look at food as an escape. It's fuel. For the first time I have really woken up when it comes to nutrition and how I can implement it at home. It's easy to get burned out when you're forcing down the same old grilled chicken twice a day, so swap in fish and other lean proteins, such as turkey and pork chops, to break the monotony. When in doubt, add pepper and Tabasco!
What I will be taking from boot camp is how much I enjoyed organised sports. The team camaraderie really pushed me and helped boost motivation. Thanks to all the Staff!
Jonathon Green – Bournemouth
The structure that you are given at boot camp is something that I will be implementing into my everyday life. Having a set workout time and regimen allows you to track your fitness progress beyond the scale. Thank you Staff and Boot Camp you have given me the motivation to go on!

I have learnt that you have to resist your triggers. The Staff have taught me to set up small goals. Trying to drop big numbers can seem impossible at first and to change it up. Just wanted to say I really enjoyed my week with you guys, surrounding myself with people who had the same goals as I did was great fun. I’ve learnt that SMART planning and research can really speed you to your fitness goals. My secret weapon from now on is to eat more lean protein on hard workout days to the fuel muscles and boost metabolism. One month on and you would not be able to recognise me from the man who turned up in rainy Wales! I went on holiday last month and got slightly concerned when I saw two women starring at me, but then I realised...Jesus, this is what it feels like to be checked out by a girl!
Thanks guys, you were awesome!
